Public Screening: All Quiet on the Western Front
The Centre for Hidden Histories presents a free public screening of the classic 1930 war film All Quiet on theAQ Flyer Western Front.The film will be introduced by Dr Nigel Hunt, an associate professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham, specialising in traumatic stress, particularly war-related trauma. Dr Hunt will offer his thoughts on the film’s contribution to our understanding of war, and how it still has a powerful impact over 80 years after it was made.All Quiet on the Western Front, ‘a realistic and harrowing account of warfare in the First World War’, was directed by Lewis Milestone and was based on the novel by Erich Maria Remarque.

The event will take place on at Broadway Nottingham on Monday 8th December from 6pm. It is free to the public and tickets will be available from the venue on the day.
